Abortion

Society does not need more children; but it does need more loved children. Quite literally, we cannot afford unloved children - but we pay heavily for them every day. There should not be the slightest communal concern when a woman elects to destroy the life of her thousandth-of-an-ounce embryo. But all society should rise up in alarm when it hears that a baby that is not wanted is about to be born.

I am angered and saddened by the fact that women, in the United States of America in the year 2006, are losing or having to fight to keep, the right to have abortions. No one has the right to tell any woman that she must be a mother. I fear that the end result of this change in policy will be more women dying, forced underground to obtain the abortions that they should have in safe, sterile and legal surroundings.
